Los Angeles County firefighters battled a second alarm fire that burned in a strip mall in Santa Clarita early Saturday morning.
The fire, which heavily damaged four units in the mall at 25864 Tournament Road, was reported at 12:46 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters extinguished the flames at around 2:19 a.m.
Four non-venomous snakes were rescued from one of the businesses the location, including a five-foot boa constrictor, according to a county fire department dispatcher. A Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control crew was sent to the scene.
Three firefighting units remained on the scene to put out any hot spots, the department reported.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
